grounds her analysis in a background of 20 years‘ experience as an organiser in social movements. A graduate in Journalism and Sociology, she engaged in the anti-globalisation movement and broader social justice struggles through her radical journalism practice. In more recent years, she has focused on the struggle for women’s emancipation. Annette undertakes ongoing research into the impact of global austerity on women, and avenues of resistance, and convenes a feminist radical discussion circle. Currently completing a Masters in Sociolinguistics and Pedagogy, Annette has facilitated presentations and dialogues on capitalism and social emancipation at seminars and conferences in the USA and across Australia.
